KMWM’s concern over delay in supply of ration to migrants

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, May 4: Kashmiri Migrants Welfare Movement (KMWM) headed by Sunil Pandita has demanded that the ration for the month of April be issued immediately as people express resentment over the unnecessary delay in monthly ration distribution to migrants. In a statement issued here, today he said this time authorities have adopted delaying tactics to harass the Kashmiri migrants. Taking a dig at the supply of drinking water in the Jagti camp, Sunil alleged that contaminated water is being supplied to people of Jagti township as a result Inhabitants have got involved in various ailments due to water borne infections. Sunil, while addressing community members said that Government at the Centre as well in J&K UT have forgotten and ignored the pleas of Kashmiri migrants. He demanded compensation for left over properties of the community in Kashmir and urged the Government for a permanent settlement as of now as 34 years of migration have passed and till date Government has not formulated any policy in this regard.
