Kishtwar violence issue again raised in LA

SRINAGAR :  Opposition BJP today alleged that a minor from minority community was beaten up by police in a police station at Kishtwar.
The minor is critical in the hospital, BJP member Ashok Khajuria said in the Legislative Assembly when Speaker Mubarak Gul allowed him to speak before the Question Hour.
Mr Khajuria alleged that a deep rooted conspiracy was going  on there.
He said the boy was taken to a police station and later  beaten up by the police.
Mr Gul directed him not to raise any matter which could disturb the communal harmony in the state.
“I will not allow any member to raise any issue which has the potential to disturb the communal peace,” Mr Gul said,  adding members should not try to increase the tension.
Mr Khajuria wanted a quick response from the government. However, the Speaker said it was not possible for the government to reply on each and every issue in the House. This is not a Question Hour that the government will have readymade reply, the Speaker remarked.
“The government has to listen to all the issues raised by you, and let it examine it and reply,” Mr Gul told the BJP members.
Leader of the National Panthers Party (NPP) in the House Haresh Dev Singh demanded that the government pay compensation to those affected during Kishtwar violence irrespective of their faith.
Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj System Ali Mohammad Sagar intervened, “We will reply to this issue after getting the facts.”
BJP and NPP members alleged that the minister has provided wrong information to the House on the issue.
“If any minister gives wrong information in the House,  action would be taken against him and he or she may lose the ministry,” the Speaker warned.
