Kings Of Leon drummer injured in tour bus incident

LOS ANGELES, Aug 11:  Fans of American rock group Kings of Leon were left disappointed after they were forced to postpone their concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, due to a member of the band suffering a serious injury.
Nathan Followill, the band’s drummer, was unable to perform the show because he was being treated for broken ribs, which he sustained after the Kings of Leon’s tour bus had to suddenly swerve to avoid hitting a pedestrian, said the Hollywood Reporter.
The official announcement came via the band’s Facebook page, which also confirmed the cancellation of that night’s show.
“Due to an accident on their tour bus, Kings of Leon will unfortunately have to postpone tonight’s show in Saratoga Springs, NY. The band was en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill,” the post read.
“Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well. The band will postpone the show that was planned for August 10, until further notice.”
The band, who are touring in support of their latest studio album ‘Mechanical Bull’ (2013), hasn’t announced when the Saratoga Springs show will be rescheduled, and they are next set to perform in Wantagh, NY on August 13. (PTI)
