Sir,
This is in reference to the news regarding target killings of Shias in Pakistan which shows the real face of the so called Islamic Republic. The Shia community is at the receiving end throughout the year.More than 400 shias have been killed this year alone and still it continues. This shows the extent of radicalization of Pakistan and failure of Pakistani establishment to curb the activities of ultra conservative fundamentalists.
The Pakistani government seems to be a mute spectator tacitly allowing freehand to these extremists. Now, it is clear that the ultra-conservative extremists enjoy the support of Pakistani agencies and army who are also responsible for sponsoring extremism and terrorism in India. The Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, a banned ultra-conservative organisation is openly declaring war against shias and raising the slogan of shia free Pakistan. The shia community is facing existential threat in the wake of these planned and co-ordinated killings. If the present scenario persists then pakistan would be nowhere in future. Pakistan must learn lessons from its neighbour India where every faith is secure and the society is vibrant enough.
Yours etc…..
