JAMMU, Feb 7: Chowk Chabutra Police rescued a kidnapped girl from Bihar and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on January 19 this year, a written complaint was lodged by father of a kidnapped girl with Police Post Chowk Chabutra stating that his 16-years-old daughter went for exam and did not return back home.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 9/2021 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team led by Incharge Chowk Chabutra Police Post Inspector
Deepak Thakur connected various leads and the team went for search of the accused in Bihar where after hectic efforts and with the support of technical assistance of the native police of the concerned area, the girl was finally recovered and the abductor was arrested.
The arrested person has been identified as Sunil Thakur, son of Anoop Lal of Khagaria Bihar at present Peerkho District Jammu.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
