Kidnapped minor rescued, abductor arrested

JAMMU, Apr 9: Peer Mitha Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged on March 21 this year by a family with Police Station Peer Mitha stating that a youth identified as Kushank Jamwal, son of Sunil Kumar of Talab Tillo District Jammu has kidnapped their minor daughter.
Acting voer the complaint, a case under FIR Number 18/2022 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
To rescue the kidnapped girl vis arrest the abductor, a team from Police Station Peer Mitha led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq and assisted by PSI Satyajeet Singh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa.
The team conducted raids in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining states and finally rescued the girl from Trikuta Nagar area of the District Jammu. The accused, who tried to escape from the spot on the seeing the cops was also nabbed.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
