Kidnapped minor recovered from Punjab, accused arrested

BHADERWAH, Mar 14: Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from Punjab and nabbed the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a family hailing from Sichlai Jora, Thathri with Bhaderwah police station around seven months back stating that their minor daughter left the house and didn’t return.
During search of the girl, the family came to know that their daughter has been kidnapped by Mohammaad Shafi, son of Karam Din, a resident of Kandolu, Gandoh, at present Gumna Pind, Punjab, the complainant added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 90/15 under Section 363, 458 and 109 RPC was registered at Bhaderwah police station and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, police team from Bhaderwah police station conducted raid at Gumna Pind in Punjab and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape, but police also nabbed him.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah police station Inspector Jatinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Khan and SSP Doda ZN Manhas.
