JAMMU, July 22: Police today recovered a kidnapped minor girl from Katra and arrested the accused.
Police spokesman said that, on July 14, family members of the minor girl hailing from Bishnah lodged a missing complaint about the girl with Police Station Bishnah.
After registering a case, police started investigation and on information from reliable inputs, recovered the girl from Katra, he said
During questioning, the girl revealed that she was abducted by Sunil Kumar, son of Babu Ram of Deoli, he added
The girl has been restored to the family after completion of legal formalities, he said.
A case under FIR number 100/13 Section 363 RPC stands registered at Bishnah Police Station and further investigation into the case is going on.
