JAMMU, July 3: Channi Himmat Police rescued a kidnapped man and arrested two abductors.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Iqbal H Bhat of Karyani Talab, Narwal with Police Station Channi Himmat stating that a man namely Showkat Ali, son of Mohammad Sikander of Changa Bhalessa, District Doda presently residing at Channi has been kidnapped by some unknown persons for ransom.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 78/2020 under section 364-A IPC was registered at Channi Himmat Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Chatta Police Post recovered the abducted man along with his Alto car bearing registration number JK06-7755 and arrested two kidnappers, who were identified as Nayeem Ahmed, son of Nisar Ahmed and Nawaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, both residents of Village Judda, Tehsil Arnas, District Reasi.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Chata Police Post ASI Yougal Kishore made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Channi Himmat Inspector Karan Chalotra, SDPO East Bikram Kumar and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
