JAMMU, Dec 22: Khour police rescued a kidnapped girl from Himachal Pradesh and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was received with Khour police station regarding kidnapping of a girl hailing from Narayana area by Vikram Singh, son of Bhola Ram, a resident of same area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 72/15 under Section 366 RPC was registered at Khour police station and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On a specific information, police team from Khour police station conducted raid in Village Gagrate, district Una, Himachal Pradesh and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape but was also arrested.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team from Khour police station led by Head Constable (HC) Brijpal rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Khour SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta, SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajeev Panday and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
