JAMMU, Feb 13: Satwari police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by family members of a minor girl stating that a person namely Rajesh Kumar alias Billa, son of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Bhour Kullian kidnapped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 30/19 under section 363 RPC was registered at Satwari Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the abductor.
On specific information, a team from Satwari Police Station conducted raid and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape from the spot, but cops overpowered him and arrested him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
