Kidnapped girl rescued, accused arrested

BHADERWAH, June 3: Bhaderwah police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on May 14, a complaint was filed by Rakesh Kumar of Sarol Bagh, Bhaderwah with police station Bhaderwah stating that his daughter aged around 18 years went missing.
Acting over the complaint, a missing report was lodged, which later turned into kidnapping and a case under FIR Number 62/17 under Section 366 and 109 RPC was registered at Bhaderwah police station.
On specific information, a team from Bhaderwah police station conducted raid in Parihote area and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Nasib Chand of Charya, Kandote, Thathri was also arrested on the spot.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Sambyal rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Bhadarwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Shaazad Salaria and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
