Kidnapped girl recovered, teacher held

RAJOURI, Dec 24: The police recovered a kidnapped girl student of class 12th hailing from Kotranka and arrested a teacher of private academy in this connection.
The girl identified Khalida Parveen, resident of Dhar Sakri in Kotranka, was recovered from Hajipur in Kulgam area of Kashmir today. The accused namely, Abid, son of Ghulab Din, resident of Saglani in Bafliaz (Poonch) was also arrested. He was working as teacher in a private accademy at Peeri and used to give private coaching to the students of the area. He managed to develop relations with the girl
The girl had been kidnapped on October 29, 2012 and remained untraced. Her father Shah Mohd lodged an FIR No. 137/ 12 with the Kotranka police after coming to know about the matter. SHO Rafiq Khan sent a police team to Kulgam after they were tracked through mobile phone numbers. The girl was sent for medical examination and later handed over to the family. Further investigation was in progress.
