SAMBA, Nov 12: District Police Samba traced out a kidnapped girl from RS Pura and also arrested her kidnapper.
Police said yesterday a written report was lodged at Police Station, Bari Brahmana by one person, resident of village Palli, Bari Brahmana stating therein that his minor daughter of 14 years of age went missing on intervening night from her residence. All efforts were made out by the family members but the whereabouts of the missing girl could not be ascertained and they have apprehension that she might have been kidnapped.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, a case FIR No. 263/2020 U/S 363 IPC was registered at Police Station, Bari Brahmana and search was started to trace out the kidnapped girl. With continuous and strenuous efforts , a Police team of PS Bari Brahmana traced out the kidnapped girl from RS-Pura, Jammu and arrested the accused person namely Sukhwinder Singh, S/o Suram Singh, R/o Gharana, RS-Pura, Jammu.
The kidnapped girl was brought back safely to PS Bari Brahmana and handed over to her legal heirs after completing legal formalities. The family members of girl expressed gratitude to Samba Police in reuniting missing girl with the family.
