JAMMU, Apr 3: Miran Sahib police recovered a kidnapped girl hailing from Jassore and arrested the accused from Bagga Marh area of RS Pura.
As per police sources, a missing complaint was lodged by the parents of the girl hailing from Jassore with police station Miran Sahib on March 27, 2013 that their daughter went missing from the residence.
Later the missing complaint as per rule was converted into FIR number 14/15 under Section 346 and 363 RPC registered with police station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
On specific information, police team from Miran Sahib police station conducted a raid in Bagga Marh area of RS Pura and recovered the kidnapped girl.
During the raid, police team also nabbed the kidnapper, who has been identified as Pitamber Dutt Sharma, son of Dwarka Jeet Sharma of Bagga Marh, RS Pura.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal and medical formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta and HC Shamsher Singh Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh, SP Headquarters Randhir Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
