SRINAGAR, Jan 16: Police solved a kidnapping case and arrested the accused involved in the crime in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.
A police spokesman said Police Station Kokernag received a complaint from one person (name with held) that his 17 years old daughter has been kidnapped by one Subzar Ahmad Naikoo, a resident of Ahlan Payeen, Kokernag. Instantly a case was registered and investigation was set into motion.
“During the course of investigation, a special team headed by SHO Anantnag was created on the directions of SSP Anantnag, Altaf Ahmad Khan. The team raided various suspected locations and also established various check points to trace the girl,” he said.
“After strenuous efforts, the accused person involved in the crime was arrested and the kidnapped girl was recovered from Gadwool area of Kokernag,” he added
A case with FIR number 05/2018 under section 363, 109, 506 RPC has been registered in Police Station Kokernag and investigation has been taken up.
