RAJOURI, May 21: Police today solved a kidnapping case by arresting the accused and recovering the kidnapped girl from Jammu.
According to the reports, a written complaint was lodged by a lady Tripta Devi wife of Amrish Kumar, resident of Ward No 17, Poonch and at present residing at Chingus, with police post Chingus that her minor daughter has been kidnapped by Akshay Gill son of Preet Kumar, resident of Poonch.
Accordingly, a case FIR No 195/2017 under Sections 363/109 RPC was registered in police station Rajouri and investigation taken up. District police immediately deputed police parties of PP Chingus to different suspected locations of Jammu, Poonch and Udhampur under the supervision of SHO, police station, Rajouri,(Prob) Sudhanshu Verma and Deputy SP Headquarters, Rajouri, Jaswant Singh for recovery of abducted girl.
Today, acting on specific information, a police team headed by SI Fareed Ahmed, Incharge, PP Chingus, recovered the abducted girl from the possession of accused Akshay Gill from Indra Chowk, Jammu after a very hectic search and arrested the accused.
After medical examination and other legal formalities, police handed over the girl to her parents and further investigation is going on.
