UDHAMPUR, May 7: The police claimed to have recovered a girl hailing from Ritti area of Udhampur within 24 hours of her kidnapping from a locality in Jammu.
Reports said based on the complaint of her family members, a case FIR No. 208/2019 U/S 366 RPC was lodged at Police Station, Udhampur. The police team of Police Post, Roundomail led by Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, assisted by SI Jawsinder Singh IC, PP Roundomail under the supervision of Dr Rohit Chadgal DySP Headquarters and Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Addl SP Udhampur was constituted and raids were conducted at different suspected locations and finally the kidnapped girl was recovered from the kidnapper namely, Imtiaz Ahmed, son of Faqir Hussain, resident of Maidana, Poonch who was arrested on the spot by the police party from Bathindi area of Jammu.
They were brought to Roundomail Police Post. The girl was handed over to her family after proper legal procedure. The youth was arrested and further investigation of the case was in progress.
