RAJOURI, Jan 14: With the arrest of a youth, the police has recovered a minor girl who was kidnapped from Thannamandi area two days ago.
A police spokesman said that acting on a tip off, the police party led by SI Mukesh Sharma conducted raid near Darhali bridge at Rajouri area today and recovered 15-year-old girl. The kidnapper Mohd Farid, son of Mian, resident of Bathian village in Thannamandi was arrested. The girl after medical examination was handed over to the family. The police registered a case FIR No. 6/ 2016 in this connection.
Meanwhile, one Rekha Balla, daughter of Kashmir Singh, resident of Saranu village is reportedly missing since Wednesday. The girl had gone to Rajouri for shopping but did not return home. The family has lodged missing report with Rajouri police.
