RAJOURI, Apr 15: The police recovered a minor girl who was kidnapped by a Sumo driver and taken to Surankote in Poonch from Thandi Kassi area of Rajouri yesterday.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information a police party led by SI Jahangir Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Hamid Choudhary recovered the 15-year-old girl hailing from Thandi Kassi in Rajouri, from Faizlabad area of Surankote last night. The Police raised a house at Morha Bachhai and recovered the girl from there. The accused identified as Anam Ullah Khan, son of Nassarulla Khan resident of Morha Bachhai had kidnapped the girl. He is Sumo driver and managed to escape. The police was looking for him. The girl after medical examination was restored to the family.
