KISHTWAR, Aug 9: Senior National Conference leader and former Home Minister, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, visited Dool area of Kishtwar constituency and listened to the grievances of the people of the area.
He held a public meeting at Dool area and met with several delegations of people which raised various issues and problems being faced by the locals in the area.
On behalf of public, Kichloo demanded the repair and macadamization of Sheikhpoura Bhatpoura Road and also demanded the immediate construction of Kishtwar-Padder road to Silhbhata Doobipoura road under the PMGSY.
People also raised the issues of repair work of reservoir at Bhatpoura (Dool) and stressed upon immediate set up of Tehsil and Block offices which was sanctioned by the Government in 2014 but till date nothing has been done. Besides this, the most important concern of the people was additional ration supply as well as the classes to Higher Secondary level.
While listening to the genuine demands of the locals, Kichloo assured them, that he would bring the matter into the notice of concerned authorities for early redressal.
Among those who accompanied Kichloo include provincial secretary Imtiyaz Zargar and Rajinder Sen, Sarpanch Aashiq Hussain, block secretary, Gulam Rasool Malik, youth leader, Riyaz Bhat, senior leader, Mohd Khaleel Bhat, Mohd Ashraf, Jaffer Hussain, Abdul Wahid and others.
