KISHTWAR, Dec 16: Former Minister of State for Home and MLC from Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo while condemning Mughal Maidan fire incident and spreading of false rumor of sacrilegious act in Kishtwar cautioned the people of the District against divisive forces.
In a statement, he said that back to back incident of communal nature that surfaced in last two days and no response from the general public, particularly from the youths indicated that people of Kishtwar are not ready to fall into the trap of divisive forces, adding that District administration as well as police should act against those elements involved in flaring the communal violence in District ahead of upcoming proposed Panchayat and Municipality elections.
“If police and administration fails to act against hate mongers and rumor mongers, it will lead to a major catastrophe for the long run peace and stability not only in Kishtwar District, but for the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir”, Kichloo added.
He said that time has come to bring the culprits to book involved behind Mughal Maidan fire incident as well as spreading false massage with regard to sacrilegious act so that such elements could get a strict massage that there is no space for them in peaceful society.
He added that both the incidents are politically motivated and urged the people to understand the nefarious designs of such elements and made an appeal to the people of both the communities to remain united in future as well and defeat such elements in similar way, the way these elements faces humiliation in last two days by way of finding no tracker to their hatred and communal agenda that aims only to divide the people on religion lines.
