NEW DELHI: Upcoming Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has been chosen to play Sakshi Dhoni,the wife of former India cricket test captain Mahinder Singh Dhoni, in a biopic on his life, sources in the film trade said today.
After an extensive auditioning process, the filmmakers zeroed in on Kiara. The biopic M S Dhoni: The Untold Story is a film based on Dhoni’s life which will be directed by Neeraj Pandey, maker of films like a Wednesday, ‘Special 26 and Baby. Congratulating Kiara on her selection to play Dhoni’s wife, Ashvini Yardi of ‘Grazing Goat Pictures’, which produced her debut film Fugly, tweeted, and a big hello to the onscreen Saakshi Dhoni, Kiara Advani.
‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, produced by Rhiti Sports Management, Inspired Entertainment and Adarsh Telemedia, will have Sushant Singh Rajput playing the role of M S Dhoni. According to sources, the film will also star John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade and Fawad Khan.
Kiara made her debut in Fugly, produced by ‘Grazing Goat Pictures’ directed by Kabir Sadanand,which was released on June 13, 2014, also starred Mohit Marwah, Vijender Singh, Arfi Lamba and Jimmy Shergill. (Agencies)
