New Delhi, May 19: BJP MP Rajya Sabha, Gulam Ali Khatana today called on Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Ajay Bhatt and discussed the security scenario and tourism initiatives in UT of Jammu and Kashmir at New Delhi today.
Gulam Ali stressed the need for out of the box solutions to counter the repeated attempts of the Pakistan to incite terrorist violence in border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. He said that Pakistan is on the verge of a civil war and to divert the attention of the common Pakistanis from the looming crisis, economic failure on the homefront, the ISI is trying to escalate violence in J&K.
MP Gulam Ali appreciated the decision of the Government for withdrawal of troops from the hinterland adding that the enemy nation has always taken advantage of the goodwill gestures of India and backstabbed. He said that home and hearth Battalians of RR proved a big success and Defence Ministry should sanction more H&H battalions for the border areas which will also give employment opportunities to the youth., Gulam Ali further added that holding of G20 in Kashmir is another eyesore for the enemy nation and they have been threatening openly to disrupt the G20 meet to be held in this month where delegates from across the globe will be participating.
He said that G20 meet will give a big boost to the tourism in the Jammu and Kashmir and will attract more foreign tourists and increase income off the people dependent upon trade and tourism., Union MoS Ajay Bhatt said that Jammu and Kashmir is a priority area for Government of India under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and after abrogation of Article 370 a renewed push has been given to development of the UT.
He assured Gulam Ali all the cooperation for meeting the demands of the common masses.
