JAMMU, May 15: Former president J&K BJP and senior party leader, Ashok Khajuria today slammed Congress for demanding that huge money lying with temples be ustilised for fighting out COVID-19.
In a statement issued here the BJP leader while reacting to the statement of former Maharashtra, Chief Minister, Prithvi Raj Singh Chavan in this regard said the statement is totally ridiculous. He said the Congress leaders who amassed huge wealth during 60 years of their rule should surrender this before the nation so that the same could be utilized in prevailing situation to fight out COVID-19.
Khajuria, while taking on Chauhan said that he is speaking the language of party High Command as Hindu temples are an eye soar for them. “Why Congress leader did not talk about the wealth lying with Mosques and Muslim Shrines or Churches and why only about the temples needs an explanation from the party which has always played the Muslim appeasement and pseudo secular policies by hitting the interests of majority community of this country hard’’, he added.
Khajuria said on the other hand BJP whether during the rule of former Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee or now under the six years Government of Narendra Modi worked on the mantra of justice to all and appeasement to none as well as Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas. The party is committed to this mantra which can ensure welfare of all segments of society.
He said it was the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi that entire nation is behind the Government in its war against the dreaded Corona Virus. The Prime Minister showed the whole world that for India its people are great asset and wealth. The Modi Government took every step to ensure the safeguard of the common masses by declaring the lockdown which though was at the cost of country’s economy.
Khajuria said that BJP believes that once the Corona crisis are over the people of this country will redouble their efforts to put the economy which received a setback back on rails by overcoming the loss within a year and script a new success story to become a role model for entire world under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
He said the Congress and other parties who are hell bent to tarnish the image of the PM with their cheap statements will never succeed in their designs as the people of this country are mature enough and they fully understand what harm the party did to their (people’s) interests during last seven decades by pursuing divide and rule policy.
