JAMMU, May 6: Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota celebrated Annual Day function.
Brig Ravinder Gurung, BSG Info System Stn HQ, 16 Corps and Chairman, VMC KV Nagrota was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp. The students recited the Sanskrit Shloakas followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Bimla Pandit, Incharge Principal of the Vidyalaya presented the welcome address and annual report of the Vidyalaya highlighting the achievements in the field of academics and co-curricular activities at various level during 2016-17 session.
A cultural programme comprising of welcome dance, Dogri dance, English skit, Gujrati dance, Kashmiri dance, Quawali and Bhangra was presented by the students.
Brig Ravinder Gurung gave away the prizes to the meritorious students in different types of activities as well as achievers of CBSE exam-2016.
Bimla Pandit, Incharge Principal and galaxy of teachers were honoured for their achievements at various levels during the previous 2016-17 session.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Rajni Bala, PGT Maths.
The programme was co-ordinated by RV Ram, PGT Hindi and Music Department.
