VARANASI, Apr 20: Aam Admi Party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will file his nominations against BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi from Varanasi seat on April 23.
Kejriwal will hold a padyatra from Lahurawan Park to collectorate with the party activists on April 23 for filing his nominations, announced AAP spokesperson Sanjay Singh here today.
Modi will file his nominations on the next day, April 24, the last day of filing the nominations.
Addressing a press conference along with other AAP leaders, Singh criticised BJP for opposing Kejriwal everywhere he goes. “Such sentiment is dangerous for country’s democracy,” he stated.
Reacting sharply on the statement of BJP leader Amit Shah that Modi’s wave has now turned into a tsunami, he said tsunami always brings destruction and people should be aware of it.
AAP leader Gopal Rai said more than 5872 farmers have committed suicide in Gujarat after they were denied compensation of their land given to the industrialist by the BJP Government.
He also termed BJP leader from Bihar Giriraj Singh as a fascist leader for his comment that those who are opposing Modi should be ready to go to Pakistan if BJP comes to power. He also advocated for clean people to contest the elections and demanded a probe into the charges of acquiring Ak-47 by Congress candidate Ajai Rai.
