KEEWA deputation seeks CM’s intervention in redressal of employees’ grievances

JAMMU, Jan 17: A deputation of Kashmir Electrical Employees Welfare Association (KEEWA) led by Abdul Majid Khan, president of All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) and Nazir Ahmed Magrey, KEEWA president today met Chief Minister (CM) Mehbooba Mufti and projected their problems and demands.
The deputation sought CM’s intervention in settling the pension cases of employees of PDD, who were deputed to PDC and retired from there. The deputation members said that these employees are not getting pensionary benefits like their colleagues in PDD.
They also sought expediting regularization of daily wagers/need based workers in the light of SRO 381 of 1980 working in PDD and PDC and formulation of rules and regulation for workers in PDC created vide Government Order No 49-PDD dated 07-03-1989.
The deputation stated that the PDC is not considering the promotion of eligible employees in accordance with the civil service rules. The members also laid stress upon the settlement of death in harness cases of compassionate appointments of NOK under SRO 43 lying pending with the authorities for the last over five years in relaxation of age and qualification bars.
