KCC&I defers elections

SRINAGAR, Apr 24: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCC&I) today postponed its elections that were going to be held on Monday due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in J&K.
KCC&I said that the polling to the Executive Committee for the year 2020-2021 which was scheduled to be held on Monday the April 26, 2021 at Amar Singh Club, Srinagar has been deferred.
“The polling has been differed by the orders of the District Development Commissioner, Srinagar due to Covid-19 pandemic till further orders. Once we will receive any communication from DC Office regarding polling we will communicate the members accordingly,” the KCC&I said.
The KCC&I said that the members, who have paid their subscription fee till April 24, 2021, are eligible to cast their vote whenever polling will be conducted.
