JAMMU, Sept 4: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today visited Beli Charana area and took the stock of the developmental works being executed there.
While addressing the gathering Gupta highlighted the achievements by BJP in Jammu and lambasted Congress. Gupta said that the BJP has ensured the implementation of every scheme started by the Narendra Modi led NDA Government. He said that BJP has worked to see that every single scheme reaches the targeted population.
He also prompted the BJP workers of the State in general and Gandhi Nagar Constituency in particular to double their efforts in serving the people of the State and ensure that public again gives decisive mandate in favour of the party candidates in forthcoming Corporation election.
He further added that inhabitants of Belicharana especially the migrants from Doda and other areas have suffered a lot due to the attitude of previous NC-Congress Government in the State, but after BJP came to power at Centre and State it sanctioned the relief at par with the KP migrants. It was due to militancy that they were forced to migrate to Jammu, Reasi and Udhampur areas, he added.
Gupta said that it is astonishing that Doda youth, Haroon Abbas Wani, an MBA graduate has joined the militant outfit Hizbul. Rising number of youth in Kashmir joining terror outfits has raised security concerns. There has been a steady rise in the number of youth taking up arms in the Valley in the recent past, he added.
He said the separatists are involved in the brain washing of the youth.
Due to these types of incidents, the State has suffered and its progress and development has hampered. He said that Government agencies need to formulate a strategy to avoid these type of incidents and the over ground workers involved in the recruitment of youth from affected areas should be brought to book.
Later in the evening many deputations from different areas of Gandhi Nagar Constituency, called on former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar at his residence.
