JAMMU, Feb 17: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta toured Ward-54, Trikuta Nagar falling in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment and took stock of Installation of Solar street lights, public washrooms near Panch Mandir, Community Hall and other works which are being executed by different agencies in the Ward.
The work of public bathrooms near Panch Mandir, Ward-54, Trikuta Nagar was started in July last year, which is ready for the use and soon will be dedicated to the public. Gupta was satisfied with the works being executed in the Ward and said that after completion of the installation of approximately 1000 solar street lights in the Ward and other works which are nearing completion, people will witness the true development.
He said BJP is committed towards the public and it is the responsibility of the BJP Government at Centre to provide modernized amenities to the public.
He further said that the nation needs more facilities of public utility to make ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ a grand success. He said in the absence of toilets, the public is forced to urinate in the open which further causes unhygienic conditions. He said that every crowded market needs a public utility centre so that proper sanitation and hygiene is maintained. Gupta said necessary directions to the executing agencies be made from the Lt. Governor’s administration to complete the remaining works within stipulated time so that public is provided with the required amenities.
Gupta said the policies and initiatives taken by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in almost last six years has changed the mind-set of the corrupt people.
Neeraj Puri Councillor Ward 54, complimented Kavinder Gupta and said that with the help of Kavinder Gupta we are going to get the administrative approval for the remaining projects of roads up-gradation in Trikuta Nagar and soon the work will be executed. He appealed to the public to approach him in case of any problem so the needful can be done on priority.
Gupta was accompanied by BJP district president, Vinay Gupta, Councillor-Neeraj Puri, Bharat Sharma, Rekha Mahajan, Monika Khosla, Indu Puri, Divya, Sanjay Gupta, Shailender Jamwal, Sanjay Kumar, Neelam Rathore, Manmeet Singh, Sameer Andotra, Vijay Kumar along with other prominent persons of the area.
