Kavinder starts lane up-gradation works in Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, June 18: Former Deputy Chief Minister & senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta, today visited Nanak Nagar area, kick started tiling work of the lanes in Ward 43 and listened to the grievances of common masses.
Gupta was accompanied by Councilor Surjeet Choudhary (Pappu), Rampal, Shashi Bhushan, Dharam Pal, Arora, Gopal Gupta, Manjit Singh, Tarun Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Jodh Singh, Vijay Gupta and other local party workers. Gupta after starting the laying of Paver tile in the lanes of Ward 43 inspected other ongoing works under various schemes of Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Councilor Surjeet Choudhary and other local residents complimented Kavinder Gupta for getting the lanes of the area up-graded as this was the long pending demand of the residents. The locals apprised Gupta of other problems related to water supply, provision of additional transformers at various places and problems related to drainage system. Gupta listened to the problems and assured the gathering that all the genuine demands will be taken up with the administration shortly. He said a detailed project for the construction of deep drain is already submitted and is pending for the administrative approval.
Kavinder, while addressing the gathering later said that BJP is committed to the overall development of the State and this can be gauged from provision of funds for various developmental works in the State. He said for the equitable development of all the three regions of the State Modi Government has taken the initiatives and Governor administration is implementing the same with dedication having a clear cut motto of taking development to the doorsteps of common masses.
He said Prime Minister has sent a strong message to all functionaries of Government, that every person/official is accountable for the optimum utilization of all the Government resources. Gupta stressed for the utilization of every penny released by the Union Government for the projects.
While complementing Governor Satya Pal Malik for implementation of State Government’s flagship programme “Back to village,” to be held from June 20 to June 27 across the State, Gupta said, the ambitious programme which has main goals including energizing Panchayats, collecting feedback on delivery of Government schemes and programmes, capturing specific economic potential, and undertaking assessment of needs of villages, will surely give boost to the development of rural areas with the provision of basic amenities to the rural people.
