JAMMU, Aug 20: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, today visited Ward No. 52 Channi Himmat, Sector-8, Nanak Nagar, Greater Kailash, Chatha and adjoining areas and inspected the status of ongoing development works.
The Speaker also held a detailed review of his directions issued from time to time for taking-up the new works and accelerating the ongoing works.
The residents of the area demanded upgradation of lanes and drains, uninterrupted power and water supply, blacktopping of various link roads besides other demands.
Responding to the projected demands, the Speaker assured the people timely resolution of their genuine demands and grievances and also directed the concerned officers accompanying him to take up the issues on priority.
Kavinder Gupta also highlighted the welfare programmes and initiatives being taken up by the Government and exhorted upon people to avail maximum benefit of these schemes.
