Kavinder inspects development works

JAMMU, Mar 28: Speaker, Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta, today undertook extensive tour of various localities of his Legislative constituency and inspects various development works.
Accompanied by SDM South, Kulbushan Khajuria, BDO Satwari, Shahid Mughal, XEn PDD, PD Singh, XEn PWD (R&B), Mohd Sadeeq, XEn PHE, JP Singh, XEn JMC, Rajesh Gupta and other field staff of the departments, the Speaker visited areas of Bathindi, Nanak Nagar, Channi Himmat, Digiana, Satwari, where he interacted with the local residents and took stock of their grievances.
He also inaugurated newly installed substation of 250 kva at Ward 44 and up graded transformers of 630 kva and 400 kva capacity at Ward 43 and Ward 42 of Nanak Nagar along with the work for construction of deep drain at Trikuta Nagar.
The locals apprised him about the requirements pertaining to cleanliness, renovation/ repair of few internal lanes and up gradation of transformers at few places. The residents of Bathindi demanded construction of culvert, upgradation of lanes and drains, protection works for their house and lands, regular supply of ration, upgradation of primary school and implementation of various schemes.
Replying to the issues put forth by the people, the Speaker said that more than 200 transformers have been installed/up graded by him in the last three years in Gandhi Nagar other than the works undertaken by IRCON.
He informed that the works of blacktopping which already stands allotted will be started soon, as the same was delayed due to some technicalities. Kavinder assured them early redressal of their genuine demands.
Earlier, he also inaugurated a public toilet at Gangyal which was constructed under the supervision of JMC.
