JAMMU: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today visited inspected pace of progress on the development works in Jammu outskirts.
The Speaker visited Kanjwani, Gangyal, Bazigar Basti, Bahu Fort and Pacca Talab-Bahu Fort and inspected lane and drainage construction works in these areas. He also inspected the pace of work on under construction additional classrooms at Primary School Pacca Talab-Bahu Fort.
At Kanjwani, the Speaker laid the foundation stone for construction of lanes and drains in the area. He asked the officers to effectively implement the schemes of the central government to benefit the people. Addressing locals at the Bazigar Basti, the Speaker said that the liberal funding being provided by the centre would take Jammu and Kashmir to the new heights of development.
Kavinder Gupta passed instructions to the engineers and contractors to accelerate the pace of work so that people are benefited.
During the visit the Speaker was accompanied by officers from various departments.
