Kavinder Gupta hits out at Cong, says Modi Govt has strong Kashmir policy

JAMMU, Aug 7: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today toured Preet Nagar and Nanak Nagar areas to listen to the issues of people, particularly problems related to rains. He assured the Inhabitants that work on all the damaged drains, electric installations and lanes will be taken up at the earliest.
While addressing the gathering Gupta, blamed Congress, NC and PDP for the present mess in Valley and said the Narendra Modi Government’s policy is based on consistency, clarity and conviction. Asserting that the Government has a very strong Kashmir policy, Gupta said it is making a distinction and treating differently the common Kashmiris, terrorists and separatists and “this policy is bearing fruits”. The Government and the security forces are on the same page and they are working to root out Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, he added.
Lambasting Congress, Gupta recalled, that it had even raised questions on the surgical strikes carried out by the Army across the line of control.
Gupta said the Congress in June 2018 has, released a booklet with an incorrect map of the country. Page 12 of the 16-page booklet titled ‘Rashtriya Suraksha Par Aanch’, which was distributed by the Congress, showed the entire State of J&K labelled as “Indian Occupied Kashmir” in the context of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This is the proof that how serious Congress is for the issue of Kashmir.
He said for the first time, whole world and nation, accepted that Modi Government’s Kashmir policy is based on consistency, commitment, conviction and clarity. The Congress will reduce to four from the existing 44 MPs in forthcoming general elections, he added.
Further Gupta said the Central Government was trying to clear mess and redeem the undoing of successive Congress governments, which began right from dawn of independence with the infamous “Nehruvian blunders”.
The prominent people of the area including Ankush Gupta, Nayan Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Satpal Chander, Ashok Kumar, Pawan Kumar were also present.
