JAMMU, May 4: Amid nationwide lockdown in the wake of the Corona virus outbreak, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta donated 50 PPE kits to Srikant Suse, SDM South and Vinay Sharma, SP South for use of their respective staff who are rendering round the clock service for implication of Government directives on ground for the safety of public.
On the occasion, Gupta said BJP being world’s largest party is making a difference to people’s lives during the world’s biggest crisis and added that more than 18 lakh BJP karyakartas are serving people across 916 districts of India from all strata of the society tirelessly. The workers on daily basis are distributing food packets, dry ration, medicines, ration kits and other items to the needy across the country. More than 90,000 dedicated workers are serving sick/elderly round the clock for which Gupta complimented such workers. Gupta added that in Jammu too, we are preparing the list of such persons who need round the clock help.
Gupta continued with the distribution of ration and food to the poor who are struggling to earn a single meal a day in Ward No 58. The distribution of ration was organized by Ward team and volunteers in presence of Vinay Gupta, Narinder Koki, Tirath Kour-councillor, Paramjit Singh and other prominent persons of the locality. A similar distribution drive was conducted across the Gandhi Nagar Constituency to help the needy in the time of lockdown due to Corona Virus.
On the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said, BJP with the help of donors and its volunteers is helping the family of workers, taxi/auto drivers, street hawkers and other needy persons by distributing ration among Covid-19 Pandemic. The goal is to not let any person in our community sleep hungry.”We are delivering ration to people at their doorstep. Medicine is also being delivered at doorstep to old aged people. BJP will continue to work tirelessly to help the needy,” Gupta said.
Gupta congratulated and thanked Vinay Gupta and his team of district Jammu for reaching out to nearly 4750 families and distributing the groceries and other items to them. He said more and more families are being identified and soon shall be provided with the required items such as medicines, groceries and vegetables.
