JAMMU, Feb 24: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta convened a grievances redressal camp at Ward No. 53, Vasant Vihar Extn, Trikuta Nagar, in the Gandhi Nagar constituency which was organized by Manmeet Singh Sudan along with other Ward office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
During the camp, Kavinder Gupta who was accompanied by district president BJP, Vinay Gupta listened to the issues and demands of residents. The charter of demands related to supply of drinking water, cleanliness of drains passing through the area, construction of lanes and drains, installation of street lights, replacement of damaged transformers and other problems was submitted by Baba Swaranjeet Singh along with other prominent persons of the area.
Gupta immediately called the JMC officials concerned for the desilting of drains to avoid choking. He said all genuine demands of the residents would be addressed at the earliest as BJP is committed for the overall development of Jammu Kashmir.
Kavinder Gupta said his party will ensure that no injustice is done to the youth of J&K. He added that soon Investor Summit will be held in J&K and many big private players will invest in the newly created Union Territory leading to job creation. Allaying the fears of the youth after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, he said that locals will be given priority when it comes to the Government jobs in J&K.
In order to achieve the target of making the Gandhi Nagar constituency a model constituency, Gupta said that the elected councilors, Sarpanchs and Panchs from the respective areas have to play a vital role for the overall development of their wards and they should come forward forgetting the party affiliations. He said in last few days many works have already been started and in coming days we are going to start many approved projects.
Gupta also emphasized on the role the inhabitants of the area to cooperate with the departments regarding illegal and unauthorized constructions. He further said that before starting of any new construction people must get the authorization from the concerned departments as per the Jammu Master Plan so that the Government agencies can provide all the basic amenities in proper and cost effective way. Gupta was accompanied by Baba Swaranjeet Singh, chairman Vasant Vihar Society, Sardar Prem Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Ankush Dogra, Arvind Gupta, Shailender Singh, Rohin Chandan, Raman Gupta, BJP activists and prominent persons of the area.
