UDHAMPUR, June 26: Agitated over no power supply in the area for the last nine days, locals of village Katwalt in Ramnagar tehsil today protested against Power Development Department (PDD).
They were raising slogans against the PDD and demanding immediate restoration of the power supply by replacing the damaged transformer.
They lamented that Ladana, Katwalt, Klaiya and Sughal area of Ramnagar Tehsil are without electricity for the last nine days as the PDD authorities did not replace the damaged transformer. “Despite repeated pleas to the concerned authorities, there has been no action with the result that people of the area are suffering a lot in the scorching heat,” they added.
The protesting villagers threatened to block the main road if the damaged transfer is not replaced immediately.
