JAMMU : In the wake of inclement weather conditions, the chopper service to Vaishno Devi Shrine from Katra base camp remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day today while the route from Bhairon Ghati to Sanjhi Chhat has been closed due to landslides following overnight rains. “For the fourth day today, the chopper service remained suspended,” an official told.
He said due to continuous rains and foggy conditions in the Trikuta Hills, helicopters could not take off and the service this
morning was again suspended.
“The service will restore only after the weather improves,” he added.
The track from Bhairon Ghati to Sanjhi Chhat was blocked due to landslides, said an official. “Due to overnight rains, the track got blocked but the members of the Shrine Board are on thier job and the track is likely to be cleared by this evening,” he added.
