Kathua police rescues 5 bovine animals

KATHUA, Mar 5: Continuing its endeavor to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, District Police Kathua once again succeeded in foiling another  bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of police post Hatli and rescued five bovine animals.
Acting on tip off, today a team of police post Hatli led by SI Verinder Singh, Incharge police post, Hatli under the direct supervision of  Anil Sharma, SHO Police Station Kathua and S.S.Sambyal, Dy. SP Headquarters Kathua  intercepted one truck  bearing  registration number JK02AE 1552  carrying bovine animals which was on way from Punjab towards Kashmir.
The truck was intercepted   near Maggar Khad falling in the jurisdiction of police post Hatli. During checking of the vehicle, police rescued five bovine animals being smuggled in the vehicle.
Police also seized the truck but the driver managed to escape.
Accordingly a case FIR No 85/2018 under Section 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act was also registered against the driver.
The drive was carried out under the directives of SSP Kathua Mohammed Suleman Choudhary and   Sanjay Parihar Additional  SP Kathua.
