Kathua police rescues 18 bovine animals

KATHUA, May 28: Continuing its endeavor to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, Kathua police on the directions of SSP Kathua succeeded in  foiling two  bovine smuggling bids in the jurisdiction of Police Post Hatli and rescued 18 bovine animals.
Acting swiftly on specific information, police teams of Police Post Hatli established checkpoints at Chakpartap  Maggarkhad and later at lower Jagatpur  Maggarkhad to thwart the designs of bovine smugglers.
During checking at both the checkpoints ,police seized two trucks bearing  Registration Number JK02AG 8031 and JK02AQ 4911  illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process police saved 18 bovine animals being smuggled in these vehicles.
Accordingly police registered two cases under Section 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act at PS Kathua.
Further investigation into the case is going on. People in general widely appreciated action of Kathua Police.
