JAMMU, Mar 4: A deputation of Residents Welfare Committee Kathua met Mohd Saleem Dhar, Managing Director J and K Housing Board in his office chamber at Jammu today and projected their issues.
The members of the deputation made forceful representation of their demands before the Housing Board authorities which includes development of basic infrastructure in the Kathua Housing Colony.
The president of Housing Colony, Dr Shashi Pal detailed the burning issues which includes the black topping of internal roads, installation of transformer for uninterrupted power supply to the locality, water as well as electricity supply to the left out areas of the Colony, resumption of park works in sectors 1 and 3, development of commercial complex and playing areas, creation of police post to stop the entry of unwanted elements, installation of sign boards, construction of community- cum- recreation hall, sewerage project on modern lines, initiate fencing works with entry and exit gates for security of Housing Colony, Kathua.
Managing Director listened to the grievances of the residents and directed the civil and engineering officers of the Board to take stock of the problems in Kathua Colony. In this context, Secretary and Deputy General Manager of Housing Board were directed to pay visit to Housing Colony Kathua to take stock of the people problems on the spot.
The delegation includes Dr Shashi Pal Singh, Prof (Dr) Mugdeshwar Sharma, Kuldeep Goswami, Ram Krishan, Prem Nath, Pardeep Sharma, Hari Prasad, Ganesh Dutt, Kewal Sharma, Rajiv Mehta, Parkash Singh and Surjeet Singh.
