Kathua DDC reviews progress of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control sector

KATHUA May 2: District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal today reviewed the progress of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sector under District Capex Budget, State Sector, Centrally Sponsored Schemes and languishing projects.
A detailed review of ongoing projects of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sector was held besides reviewing the achievements in 2018-19 under regular schemes, NABARD, LIC, NRDWP etc. It was apprised that 100% achievement was recorded in PHE & Irrigation Sector during previous year.
The DDC instructed the concerned engineers to strictly adhere to quality parameters while executing the projects and closely monitor the pace of work. He further exhorted them to put in their best efforts to achieve the targets within fixed timeline.
In view of summer season, the DDC instructed the concerned officers to ensure regular water supply to the public besides irrigation facilities and flood control measures in advance.
The DDC assured full co-operation of district administration to fast track the pace of all developmental projects besides resolving all issues proactively and removing bottlenecks if any in the timely execution of the projects.
