JAMMU, Nov 28: Expressing serious concern over continued denial of their rights by the authorities at the helm of affairs Kashyap Rajput Sabha has decided to come on the roads and organize Mashaal Rallies (Torch Light Processions) from December month at all district, tehsil, block and other levels to strongly project their demands.
The decision to hold torch light procession was taken in a largely attended meeting of Sabha held under the chairmanship of its president Murari Lal Balgotra. Former president Madan Lal Dogra was also present in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting president of Bahu Fort unit of Sabha Anil Kumar Kashyap, who is also a senior youth wing leader of Sabha, expressed concern that in place in place of providing 27% reservation to them as per Mandal Commission Report, the Government has come out with another time consuming process of holding fresh election of OBCs.
The meeting held that as per census of 1931, the population of OBCs was 33%. Moreover State OBC Development Board has also recommended the population of OBCs at 33%. In thelight of above the Government should provide justive with OBCs.
Others present in the meeting included Prof Brij Lal Bhardwaj, Kamal Kishore Bhardwaj, Gopal Krishan, Bodh Raj Dogra, MohanLal Pawar, Naveen Dogra, Raj Kumar Sodi, Jeet Raj Mehra, Ram Lubhaya, Ashok Kumar, Chaman Lal, Tirath Sodi, Tirath Kumar Gambal, Dharam Paul, Anil Verma, Ashwani Kumar, Vishal Chowdhary, Hunny Dogra etc.
