Attend ‘Umeed Ki Sehar’ in Uri, say will come back

Srinagar, Mar 7: Bollywood celebraties who were in Uri today to attend the cultural event “Umeed Ki Sehar” said that Kashmir’s beauty took their breath away and that whenever they will get a chance of coming back to Kashmir they will come back running.
They also impressed that Bollywood should come back to Kashmir to explore its beauty and promote what the Valley has there to offer.
Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal-who has played a lead role in the movie Uri-along with Sonali Chauhan attended the event which was organised by the Army at Uri. During the event, GOC Dagger Division, Varinder Vats was also present.
Kaushal said that it was his first visit to Kashmir and that the love he received after reaching Kashmir has filled his heart up.
“I wanted to come here for a long time, but could never make it, and today I am happy that I am between you people and it is a great moment for me. I have received so much love that it filled my heart up,” he said.
While thanking the Army for making his trip to Kashmir a reality, he said: “Men in the Indian Army are the real heroes. We are heroes of the screen and they are the real heroes on the ground. I thank the Army for giving me a chance of coming here.”
He said that when the people in Bollywood hear about Kashmir, everyone remains willing to come. Recalling his conversation with Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, Kaushal said even Anil Kapoor was ready to come.
“When I told Anil Kapoor that I am going to Kashmir, he was willing to come along. I do not want to go back. Once a person reaches here, then it is really hard to go back,” he said.
Sonali Chauhan while describing her experience in Kashmir said that she received immense love and wants to stay back to enjoy the beauty.
“I cannot describe my feelings in words. This is my first time and I received a lot of love from the people and it is all because of the Army. They are the real heroes,” she said, adding that she wants to stay back.
The Bollywood celebrities signed off with a promise to come back soon. “Phir Milenge,” they said.
General Officer Commanding (GOC), Dagger Division, Varinder Vats while talking to media persons said that organizing such an event was an old demand of the people of Uri which has been fulfilled today and that more such events will be organized to provide a platform to the local talents in the coming days.
