JAMMU, Feb 19: Two Kashmiri youth, who were detained by the police with Rs 3.6 crore cash from Lakhanpur area on Tuesday, were released today and the investigation of the case transferred to the Income Tax Department.
“After completion of the necessary formalities, both the detained youth were released and their case is handed over to the Income Tax Department for further investigation,” a police officer told the Excelsior on condition of anonymity.
According to him, one the released youth is a goldsmith by profession and the other a student.
Father of one of the youth also told a local media channel that his son is a goldsmith by profession and he runs a business along with four partners.
