JAMMU, Mar 2: Vice Chancellor (VC) of Kashmir University Prof Talat Ahmad today called on Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhavan and discussed the functioning of the educational institution.
The Governor, who is Chancellor of the university, spoke with Ahmad on the recruitment of non-academic staff “without satisfying codal requirements and matters relating to the functioning of the off-site campuses,” a Raj Bhavan spokesman said here today.
The VC also briefed the Governor about the status of various ongoing research projects undertaken by the university and those in the pipeline.
The Governor was happy to learn that consequent to certain initiatives taken by the VC, a number of students have won prestigious awards and scholarships for higher studies and research, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
