NEW DELHI: Government’s special representative to “initiate” and “carry forward a dialogue” on Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma is likely to visit Kashmir on next Monday, said a source in the Home Ministry.
In his maiden six-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir after getting the new assignment, Mr Sharma will be meeting the students and representatives of youth organisations.
He is likely to meet the other groups of the political parties and individuals. He will be in the Srinagar for four days and meet people to understand their aspirations.
During his stay, he will be meeting the security agencies and the Government officials. Meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is also scheduled, added the source.
The former Director of Intelligence Bureau is likely to visit Jammu for two days after his stay in Kashmir.
