Kashmir BJP shows concern over Form MPB2

JAMMU, Oct 6: BJP Kashmir Displaced District today called a meeting of the candidates who are contesting in Municipal Corporation Elections in the Valley and also those who were unopposed as nominated representation in the Valley.
The meeting was presided by State vice-president & MLC, Ajay Bharti, State general secretary, BJP Dr. Narinder Singh, briefed the candidates about working of the Municipal Corporation.
BJP KDD district president, Chandji Bhat welcomed the candidates and conducted the meeting.
BJP State Executive Member & Election Incharge T.N. Bhat gave the details of the elections and introduced the candidates to all.
Meeting was concerned about the Form MPB-2 declaration by notified voter which is being distributed among the migrant voters by the Electoral Officer (J&K), same has to be attested by a gazetted officer on behalf of notified voter which is matter of great concern to the contesting candidates, along with same certain security process and issues were matter of serious concern.
With regards to the Form MPB-2, it was unanimously decided that electoral officer should take immediate steps for cancellation of the same.
The meeting was attended by BJYM KDD present Kamal Warikoo, Rakesh Fotedar District Secretary BJPKDD, Vijay Raina, Rajaji Tickoo, Shibanji and others.
Meanwhile P N Pandita BJP leader incharge constituencies has urged the Governor to ensure fool proof security to BJP candidates in view of the increasing terror attacks in Valley to make the poll process a complete success.
